Liz Dozier
Staff Development Director

Hi everyone! My name is Liz and I am thrilled to say that the upcoming 2010 Summer season will be my 20th at  Camp Foss! While I still consider New Hampshire my home, I am currently enrolled at Boise State University in Idaho where I am working toward a dual certification in special and elementary education. While waiting patiently for summer to roll around again, I enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and basically being outdoors as much as possible. Life in Boise has required me to become a college football fan - Go Broncos!! I am enjoying my time out in Idaho immensely but I cannot wait to get back to the shores of Willey Pond where I can pursue my new position as Staff Development Director. 2010 is shaping up to be our best Summer yet and I hope you can be a part of it! See you this summer!

Hi everyone! I am very excited to be a part of Foss for the first time this summer! I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Boston with a BFA in Fine Arts. I am preparing to enter graduate school this fall to study Art Therapy. I’ve been a part of the YMCA for years, most recently working in the Community Outreach Department with the youth of Manchester. I have seven years of camping experience within the YMCA camping world. In my spare time I like to read, swim, and practice speaking Spanish. After living in San Francisco for a few years, I’m looking forward to spending my first summer back in New Hampshire on the shores of Willey Pond!

Aubree Cecil
Program Director

Hi folks!  My name is Aubree and I'm a Foss gal through and through. Summer 2009 will be my lucky thirteenth summer at Camp Foss. I spent four years as a camper, one as a CIT/LIT, and eight years working my way to become the Program Director. I graduated with honors from the University of New Hampshire receiving my BA in Sociology and Womens Studies. Throughout college I taught swimming lessons and lifeguarded at the local YMCA. This past year has been spent living in England with a friend I made at camp. This just goes to show how close the friendships we make at Foss can be. In the months waiting for summer to come, I love swimming, travelling, boating, inventing ridiculous games and shopping - especially for crazy dress-up outfits for camp! I am counting down the day until I can be having fun on Willey Pond!

Hi there! I am Sarah and I am very excited to be returning to camp this summer for my seventh year! I spent three great years as a camper, completed the amazing experience of being a counselor-in-training, and am about to embark on another amazing summer as a staff member! This will be my first summer as Hilltop Village Head and I couldn't be more excited! During the day, I also work on the waterfront teaching swim lessons. In my life outside of camp I attend Keene State College in New Hampshire. I also love hiking, running, skiing, swimming and doing anything outdoors.

Hi everyone, my name is Jordan Whitaker and it will be my 12th summer at camp and my 4th summer on staff. Prior to joining the staff, I spent a year as a counselor-in-training, and the rest of my summers were spent as a camper at Camp Foss. I am a 20 year old junior at Keene State College where I major in Physical Education. I am super excited to be the Woodside Village Head this summer! My second favorite place at camp of course is the Rec Field. I look forward to seeing you all this summer and having another amazing season at camp!

Mina Vahedi
Lakeview Village Head

Hi everyone! My name is Mina and this will be my 11th summer at camp. I was a camper for 6 years, I completed the Counselor-in-Training program, and this will be my 4th year on staff. This summer I will be Lakeview Village Head and I could not be more excited! My favorite place on camp, besides Lakeview of course, is definitely the waterfront. I love spending all day on the lake teaching swimming lessons and taking trips to the iceberg! When I am not at camp, I attend Boston University where I am studying elementary education and I would love to become a teacher someday. I grew up in the Boston area, in Brookline, so I've always loved spending time in the city. My other hobbies include dancing (I'm pretty much a dance machine), watching ice hockey (BU has the #1 team in the country), swimming and being outside, just to name a few. Camp Foss is my favorite place in the world and I can't wait until we're all there together!

Megs Cochran
Waterfront Director

I’m Megs Cochran, the Waterfront Director at Camp Foss.  I’m 22 and from Basingstoke, England.  I started working at Camp Foss in 2006 and LOVED every minute of it.  I can't think of anywhere else I would want to spend my summers.  I have been working in aquatics for 10 years now and really enjoy seeing people learn to swim and having fun in the water.  To me the waterfront is the best place to be at camp.  My hobbies include swimming, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.

Laura Houpt
CIT Director

Hi, my name is Laura Houpt.  I’m 21, from Massachusetts, and the CIT Director here at Foss. I've loved every minute of my thirteen summers at camp, from running around Coopers Field with other campers playing kickball and elbow tag, to making up airbands with the other girls in my CIT group, and jumping in Willey Pond at the end of each Echo Contest with other senior staff. Over the years, Camp Foss has become my summer home, and I could not ask for a better family to live with, eat with, play with and laugh with. It may sound corny, but ask anyone -- Camp Foss really is an experience that lasts a lifetime!
